1: Baseball analogy. Used when someone is moving up; usually applied to someone being promoted at work, but can be applied in most scenarios. Antomyns: demmoted, fired, cut, dissed.

  * e.g.,  ... Pete, it looks like your pitching has caught the attention of the Yankees. Congrats! You're being called up to the bigs! Jeff was asked to take over for his old boss. He was called up yeasterday. Remember that hot girl from the bar who was out of my league? She called me to go out this Friday! Fellas, I'm being called up to the majors! That stash of pot we confiscated from you turned out to be distribution weight which is now a federal crime, not state. You've made the big time; Federal prosecutors are calling you up, son!

1: The process of getting alcohol for a party.

  * e.g.,  ... "What are we doing this weekend?"

1: When you find an XSS vulnerability and you wanna make everyone's lives miserable.

  * e.g.,  ... "Someone call up the script kiddies, we got sum XSS exploits over here." - zzap 

 [ "Call it up" ]

1: Meaning to stop or call it quits Also means to call a person over

  * e.g.,  ... Example 1- "hey I think we should call it up" Example 2- "hey call her up over here" (or) "hey call him up and over" 

 [ "wake up call" ]

1: When you've been doing something self destructive for some time (perhaps without realizing it) before something serious happens that forces you to come to terms with what you've been doing and that you need to stop.

  * e.g.,  ... He used to eat tons of junk food, stuff with all sorts of sugar, salty snack foods, you name it. It doesn't help that he rarely exercised. He didn't seem to get that even the manufacturers of those foods stress the importance of a balanced diet. His wake up call was a heart attack that almost killed him. Fortunately, he took it seriously and made a lot of changes to his lifestyle.

2: Usually involves something medical but can involve anything serious.

  * e.g.,  ... They used to seem like they had everything. They lived well beyond their means. Most people thought they were rich. It took almost losing their house for them to start opening their eyes and living within their means. It was a real wake up call.

1: Being dumped by a phone call.

  * e.g.,  ... Christina gave alex a break-up call, i think its coz he over-chicked, he was a right munter

2: Much like a wake up call except the person answering is getting broken up with

1: an event so dramatic or troubling that it effectively serves as an alert, reminder or call to action

  * e.g.,  ... The failure of the ongoing efforts to produce effective solutions should have been a wake up call to stop arguing.

1: Requesting a hotel, typically a motel, to call you at a certain time to remind you to smoke the doobage. Essentially a wake up call for stoners.

  * e.g.,  ... My roommate Carson used to set the alarm clock to wake him up for a smoke session early in the am, aka wake n bake, so much so that when he travelled and was too high to figure out how to set the alarm clock in a hotel, he'd call the front desk and request a bake up call. Typically at 4:20am. 

 [ "Wank-Up Call" ]

1: The act of standing above a female shortly before her alarm clock goes off and masturbating furiously. Just before her alarm goes off, you unleash all over her face in order to rise her from her slumbers.

  * e.g.,  ... My girl always sets her alarm earlier than she wants to get up and hits the snooze, so this morning I gave her a wank-up call to make sure she didn't keep sleeping.
